First blog post!

Well. My first post, so what should i talk about? The reason being that i created this blog is to gather all the data i've encountered as being a leader in a organization/guild/clan (Whatever you wish to call it) so that i could compiled it into an e-book in the future for other new/upcoming gaming bodies to learn from it. I will also try and anaylse each problems and try to give a solution to it.

There's so much to talk about that i do not know where to start....

Since this blog is all about leadership so i will start from there and i will use the word "Guild" as all the other words being used in a gaming organization.

What does it mean in being a Leader?

Someone once asked me what leadership means and what it requires to be a guild leader. This is something I wrote some time ago on the Lotro forums, and felt that perhaps it should be retained here.Leadership means many things. However, in my opinion, there are many more things that it does not. One of the most important things that you cannot forget in leadership is your people. This is, after all, who you are “leading.

Like what the above quote mentioned "One of the most important things that you cannot forget in leadership is your people."

A guild is made up of a Guild Leader, follow by 2 - 3 Guild Officers and finally the members of the guild.

How does each role plays:

Guild Leader - He's the guy responsible for giving the guild the proper direction for the guild to head towards a goal, he's also the one who comes out/finalize all the guild rules and he's also the one where the rest of the guild members looks up to.

Guild Officers - These are the people who's helping the Leader to execute plans and to maintain law and order in all aspects of the guild. They also have some deciding power on what to do within the guild itself.

Members - These are the main bulk of people who makes up the rest of the guild and they are also the most important people in the guild. Although they have no ruling power in any of the guild matters but they do have the right to voice out things that concern the guild. They are also the ones who will bring the guild up to the next higher level.

There's also some other positions which can be found in a guild IE: Class Officers, Advisor, Treasurer etc but we will just touch onto the main roles for now.

Now read onto my next blog entry on more guild stuffs.
